Fresh Start- Day 1

I read somewhere that modern psychology has assessed our limited ability to complete tasks each day between 7 and 10 things. That number decreases depending on your health, your executive function, all the usual suspects. So looking at my list of things, I wanted to group what I wanted to do into categories to start, and whittle down from there if necessary. For the month of November, I think I will try and post everyday as the exercises I will be performing in will require daily participation.

The Necessary Small Things for my Depression Brain (separate but necessary, and it simply helps to write them out):
1. Brush teeth
2. Put on makeup/ Fix hair
3. Wash up/Shower
4. Moisturize
5. Take pills

The Essentials:
1. Chores (cleaning the house, cooking, etc- honestly, after visiting friends with small children, I both understand the necessity of the clean house and why my mom wanted to rip my head off all the time when I made a mess at an age I should have known better.)
2. Appointments (both medical and work- they take enough effort, I think they should be their own thing)
3. Schoolwork (two months to go and I can be done!)
4. Workout (stretching in the morning, Darebee's Vitality program to start and cardio in the afternoons, strength training if I can get that in there somewhere)
5. Tarot (at my therapist's request- pulling a card in the morning, deciphering it, reviewing it again in the evening)

The Important Things:
6. Italian (Duolingo daily, bookwork when possible)
7. Movies (and Noirvember especially- 30 days of Noir movies, bound to be a good time)
8. Board Games (I wanted to play 100 games this year and getting so close)
9. Reading (trying to eliminate screens at night)
10. Piano (It's strange how stressful practicing was as a kid, and how soothing the practice is now.)

The Like-To-Dos:
11. Math and Science review
12. Records
13. Art
14. Logic
15. Mental Health (since Tarot is a mental health exercise in this context)
